The Seven-Day Weekend
Categories: Business & Money
Brazilian businessman Ricardo Semler describes how his company, Semco, lets employees choose their own hours, review their bosses and in many cases set their own salaries, with financial information open to all. Building on his earlier book Maverick, the 2004 book argues that work and leisure should blend across the whole week, and that companies thrive when they give up control and ask why three times before accepting any practice. A Retire-a-Little program lets workers buy back time while young.
