The Way to Love
Categories: Religion & Spirituality, Self-Help
The Way to Love, published in 1992, collects the last meditations of Anthony de Mello, the Indian Jesuit priest and psychotherapist who died in 1987. In short reflections, de Mello argues that love requires dropping attachments, illusions and the dependence on other people's approval. He urges readers to see reality as it is and to become aware of the beliefs and conditioning that keep them from happiness and freedom.

- Naval Ravikant: “Anthony de Mello, he's fantastic actually. If going to start with one book. Start with Anthony de Mello's A Way to Love or his book Awareness. They're both really good”
- Shane Parrish: “The most important things in life can be learned but not taught. “You can get someone to teach you things mechanical or scientific or mathematical like algebra or English or riding a cycle or operating a computer. But in the things that really matter, life, love, reality, God, no one can teach you a thing.”
- Aubrey Marcus: “Don't judge a book by its size because it's one of the most powerful books I've ever gotten my hands on, and the book is called The Way to Love, the last meditations of Anthony de Mello.”
