The Winner Stands Alone

Over 24 hours at the Cannes Film Festival, Igor Malev, a Russian telecommunications entrepreneur, sets out to win back his former wife, Ewa, by killing strangers to send her a message. His path crosses those of a fashion designer, an aspiring actress, a film distributor and others who have come to Cannes in search of success. Paulo Coelho's thriller is a critique of celebrity, wealth and the hunger for fame.
