They Call Me Coach is the autobiography of John Wooden, the UCLA basketball coach whose teams won ten NCAA championships in twelve years, including seven in a row, written with Jack Tobin and first published in 1972. Wooden recounts his Indiana upbringing, his playing days at Purdue and his coaching career, and explains his Pyramid of Success, the fifteen qualities he believed lead to success. Later editions add reflections on his retirement and a foreword by his former player Bill Walton.
