Unsafe Space: The Crisis of Free Speech on Campus (2016), edited by spiked journalist Tom Slater, collects essays by writers and campaigners from Britain and the United States. The contributors examine safe spaces, trigger warnings, no-platforming of speakers and speech codes at universities. They argue that these practices treat students as fragile and stifle debate, and they call for universities to defend open argument and the freedom to offend.
