Welcome to Dinosaur School (2022) by Rose Cobden, illustrated by Loretta Schauer, is a rhyming picture book about starting school. Jewel the dinosaur is nervous about her first day. There are so many new dinosaurs to meet, the dining hall is noisy and her classroom is enormous. As the day goes on, she settles into her class and begins to make friends, and the book invites young readers to talk about their own first-day nerves.
