Kurt Vonnegut's 1968 collection gathers short fiction from the 1950s and 1960s, much of it first published in magazines such as Collier's and The Saturday Evening Post, along with two short essays. It includes "Report on the Barnhouse Effect," his first published story, and "Harrison Bergeron," set in a future where everyone is made equal by force, along with "EPICAC," "Who Am I This Time?" and the title story.
