Born to Run
Categories: Biographies & Memoirs
In Born to Run, Bruce Springsteen recounts his life, which he began writing after his 2009 Super Bowl halftime performance. He describes growing up Catholic in Freehold, New Jersey, and the moment he calls 'The Big Bang': seeing Elvis Presley on The Ed Sullivan Show. He traces his drive to become a musician, his early days playing in Asbury Park bars and the rise of the E Street Band. The book takes its title from his 1975 album and song.
