Hot, Flat, and Crowded

By Thomas Friedman

Categories: Politics & Social Sciences

New York Times columnist Thomas L. Friedman argues that global warming, rapid population growth and the spread of middle-class lifestyles through globalization have made the planet hot, flat and crowded, with rising demand for energy and resources. He calls for a green revolution in which the United States leads in developing clean energy and efficiency, and argues that doing so would strengthen the American economy, national security and standing in the world.
