Jim and Casper Go to Church
Categories: Religion & Spirituality
Jim Henderson, a Christian writer, enlisted Matt Casper, an atheist, to visit a range of American churches and give an honest outsider's view of what he saw. The 2007 book records their conversations after each service. Their stops include large congregations such as Saddleback, Willow Creek, Lakewood and the Potter's House, as well as Mosaic, the Dream Center and a small house church. Casper's candid reactions raise questions about how churches present their message. George Barna contributes a foreword.

- Seth Godin: “In this quick read, the authors visit churches all over the country... to see what makes them tick. What they're really doing, though, is an ethnographic field study of tribal behavior.”
