Categories: Literature & Fiction
In a future Los Angeles carved into corporate franchises and walled city-states, Hiro delivers pizza for a living, defends it with a pair of samurai swords, and lives in a rented storage unit. Online, in the Metaverse, he's a legendary hacker. When a strange new drug called Snow Crash starts taking down his fellow hackers, in the virtual world and in real life, Hiro teams up with Y.T., a fearless teenage skateboard courier. The trail leads all the way back to ancient Sumer and the origins of language.
